GCF

The greatest common factor(GCF) of two numbers is the greatest of their common factors. 

  

Use these strategies for finding all the GCF of two numbers:

 

Strategy 1: Find all the factors of each number using "factor pairs".

 

Strategy 2: Compare the two lists of factors to find "common factors".

 

Strategy 3: Determine the largest common factor.
