Factors

Factors are numbers that can be multiplied together to form a product

   For example:

4*3 = 12

4 and 3 are factors of 12

Use these strategies for finding all the factors of a number:

Strategy 1: Find the factors using "factor pairs".

Strategy 2: Find the factor pairs in consecutive order starting
                  with 1 and the number.

Strategy 3: Use keys of divisibility                           

2 Only even numbers are divisible by two.

                3If the digits of a number are divisible by
                      three, the number is also divisible by three.

      5Only numbers that end in five or zero are
                      divisible by five.

      10Only numbers that end in zero are divisible
                           by ten.
