PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

STEWARD STATION, LTD

Steward Station, LTD is a parent owned non profit, self supporting corporation, which was formed to meet the child care needs of the community and to offer  enrichment type programs  to the school age children in Topsfield.   The corporation is governed by a parent board of directors which is responsible for financial and policy decisions.  Parents are encouraged to participate in the design and operation of the program.

Our mission is to provide a safe, accessible  and affordable before and after school programs for children in kindergarten through third grade and to offer a Kindergarten Activity Day. An after school program is offered at Proctor Place for children in fourth through sixth grade.  Our intent is to provide a community based enrichment program that does not attempt to replace home or school, but complements both.

Our programs will consist of activities designed to meet the social, academic, emotional and physical needs of children in a warm and supportive atmosphere.  Our goal is for children to have the opportunity to enjoy the time spent with us by participating in activities such as arts and crafts, sports and games, nature study, science activities, cooking and quiet time.
